Mold exposure can effect an individuals immune system in a variety of ways.
1. The amount of mold spores in an indoor space, the higher the mold count the more severe the symptoms.
2. The total time of mold exposure, mold particulates and toxins can build up in the human body over time, so the longer you are in mold contaminated environment the higher you are at risk.
3. Different species of mold produce different mycotoxins. These toxins have been documented by the CDC to cause DNA damage, cancer, brain damage, respiratory failure and a host of other illnesses.
The only way to determine that your air quality is not compromised is to have it tested.
